After supporting Steps of Justice for over a year as a church, a unique opportunity came up to partner with them in their annual trip to Cambodia to work with embedded, indigenous mission groups serving full time. Pastor James and a group of members joined a larger team with Steps of Justice and spent two weeks in and around the impoverished areas of Phnom Penh and – after jet lag and time to collect their thoughts – they shared this first volley of what they encountered and learned, and how the Holy Spirit enabled our church to be a blessing to those in need around the world.
Refuge Church will continue with Steps of Justice to work with several of these mission partners and provide prayer, encouragement, and financial support as we walk together through life as a global church together. Different countries? Sure. But our shared citizenship is in heaven and our kingdom work transcends all borders.
